He is an American journalist, currently serving as a chief Washington correspondent for CBS News. Prior to joining CBS News, he worked as a White House correspondent for Fox News and was a correspondent for CNN before Fox News. Garrett is known for his tough and fair reporting style and has covered several significant events, including presidential elections, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and other breaking news stories.
